We are sorry to announce that Veterans Green Jobs’ Ride to Remember motorcycle ride, scheduled for Sunday Sept. 26, has been cancelled. We apologize for this change of plans!
Faced with a competing event that same day honoring murdered student Emily Keyes from Bailey, Colorado, and the slain students at Columbine High School, we are putting our own ride on hold until 2011.
We hope that the riders who signed up for Ride to Remember will instead consider joining those participating in Emily’s Parade on the 26th.
Many thanks to the community for their continued support of Veterans Green Jobs!
Veterans Green Jobs will be hosting its first Ride to Remember fundraising motorcycle
ride on Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010. If you are a motorcycle rider, please join us for this fun, first-time benefit to support veterans while enjoying Colorado’s beautiful scenery!
The event will begin at Veterans Green Jobs’ front office parking lot at 9 a.m. Participants will enjoy a light breakfast and brief program — and then head out for the ride at 10 a.m.
Riders will travel from Black Hawk to Estes Park via the Peak to Peak scenic highway. We estimate the trip will take approximately three hours.
Cost per participant is $100 and includes breakfast, a t-shirt and a Ride to Remember!
For participants who want to ride in honor of or in memory of a veteran, we will announce the veteran’s name at the pre-ride breakfast and list the name on our web site.
This benefit is being spearheaded by Veterans Green Jobs Board Member Deb Porter, an attorney with Fairfield & Woods.
If you are a rider, we need your support! Join us for a Ride to Remember!
