Eco-mission for returning service personnel

When Garett Reppenhagen left his Army unit in 2005, his fellow soldiers gave him a Mother’s Day card as a way to say farewell.

“They saw me like a mom because I’d always taken care of them and made sure they had what they needed,” said Reppenhagen, a former cavalry scout and sniper who served in Iraq.
