Affordability, Support of the Veteran Mission Set Services Apart

April 24, 2012, Denver, Colo. – Veterans Green Jobs has launched a new set of home performance services for the metro Denver home market. Its heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) services, available at reduced fees of up to 35 percent, are offered year-round. Revenues from the sales of these services support the nonprofit’s employment programs for military veterans.

“Because we’re a nonprofit and have a higher purpose than optimizing profits, we’re able to offer affordable prices without ever sacrificing quality or expertise,” said Carlos Espinoza, HVAC manager and a U.S. Air Force veteran. “Our lower cost structure also enables us to serve underserved populations who may not otherwise be able to afford upgrades to their home heating and cooling systems.”

The licensed and insured HVAC services team has 200 years of combined experience in the HVAC industry, and comprises several military veterans as well as non-veterans. Collectively, the team members are committed to the Veterans Green Jobs mission of providing employment opportunities for veterans and helping them successfully transition to the civilian workforce.

Veterans Green Jobs provides an incentive for homeowners to have their air conditioners and swamp coolers serviced now, before the heat of the summer months sets in. It is offering a free diagnostic visit and a 26-point inspection – normally an $80 value. The HVAC team also encourages homeowners to consider servicing their furnaces and boilers now instead of waiting for the cold weather of next fall.

Since 2009, Veterans Green Jobs has offered free home energy efficiency services – including HVAC – to an annual average of 1,200 income-qualified Denver and Jefferson County households through a contract with the Colorado Governor’s Energy Office. Now, it expands these offerings with a fee-for-service program that allows Veterans Green Jobs to generate sustainable income and maintain financial stability well into the future.

The HVAC team at Veterans Green Jobs has a history of pleasing its clients in Denver and Jefferson County, exemplified by this client’s feedback: “The level of expertise and service was outstanding. The custom A/C people did a great job with the furnace. They showed up on time, and everyone was very professional and hard-working. Thanks so much for the whole package – we are looking forward to a comfortable and warm winter.”
