October 30th is National Weatherization Day!
The Colorado Energy Office’s Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) has served the state since 1976, reducing the energy burden on qualified citizens state-wide. The program uses advanced technologies to improve energy affordability through such measures as increased attic, wall and floor insulation, reduced air leakage, repaired or replaced unsafe furnaces and repaired gas leaks, thus providing a safer and healthier home for Colorado citizens.
The Colorado Energy Office’s Weatherization Program, along with its funding partners, has served over 131,000 homes estimating an annual average of 20 percent energy savings per household.
