Job Title: Intake Volunteer
Job description: Volunteer needed to help with the smooth operation of the Client Services department. Volunteer will assist the Client Services department in creating client files, sending out applications, making follow-up applicant phone calls and inputting client info into computer tracking system. Ideal volunteer will be someone who has great communication skills , attention to detail, basic computer skills and able to volunteer for three or more hours a week; caring about the environment also a plus.
Job Title: Administrative Volunteer
Administrative volunteer will primarily answer and direct phone calls as well as greet and help walk-in guests. Volunteer will help various departments with administrative work and special projects as they arise. Ideal volunteer will be friendly, outgoing, have great customer service skills and be comfortable on the phone. Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus. Volunteer needed for 3-4 hours a day, one to two days a week. Schedule flexible.
Job Title: Executive Volunteer
Executive volunteer will assist the Executive Director of the Weatherization department. Volunteer will help edit grants and correspondence, file, evaluate programs, special projects and general office administration. Ideal volunteer will have strong writing skills and a high level of organization, college degree preferred and 3 to 5 years experience in office administration. Volunteer needed two days a week for 3-4 hours a day.
Job Title: Veteran Development Volunteer
Volunteer will be contacting weatherization, solar, wind and other green employers around the country to develop relationships with individual companies, assessing OJT and training capacity and determining hiring needs. They will also contact non-profits and education institutions to determine their certification programs, veteran resources and different financial assistance available. Volunteer will return phone calls from veterans interested in training and employment and connect them to researched opportunities. Ideal volunteer will be someone who is a self-starter, dependable, has great communication skills, phone skills and someone who is friendly and outgoing. Basic computer skills needed as well as the ability to sit at a desk and be on the phone. Veterans preferred. Would like a volunteer on a weekly basis, 10 hours per week would be ideal, schedule flexible.
Job Title: Administrative Volunteer
Volunteer will assist in outreach efforts by placing veterans’ employment and training opportunities on various internet websites. They will assist in data entry, answer phone calls and provide program information to veterans. Volunteer will also assist the Communications and Development departments when needed by putting together mailing materials and doing general administrative duties. Ideal volunteer will have basic computer skills, MS Office and Internet skills. Excellent communication and phone skills is desirable, as well as basic administrative skills. Volunteer needed 1-2 days a week, 3-4 hours, flexible schedule.
